Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Homeschool Money, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit or make a purchase on teachhomeschoolfinance.com (the "Site") and use the courses, downloads, and related services we offer through it (together, the "Service").

teachhomeschoolfinance.com is operated by Homeschool Money, LLC, a limited liability company based in Idaho, USA.

This policy applies only to the Site. It does not apply to purchases or activity on third-party platforms where we may also offer products (for example, Etsy or Teachers Pay Teachers) or to other websites we link to. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you create an account, subscribe to our email list, purchase a course or download, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, and any details you choose to include in a message to us.

Course and account activity. When you use a course, our course platform records activity tied to your account, such as which lessons you have viewed, your progress, and quiz or exam responses. This information is associated with the account holder — the parent, guardian, or teacher who set up the account. See Section 8 on children's privacy.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site and course platform automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, such as your device type, browser, operating system, and general usage information, through cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5.

Payment information. When you make a purchase, you enter your payment details directly with our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. See Section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

3. Email and Marketing Communications

When you subscribe to our email list or buy something from us, we may send you emails about our courses, free resources, content, and updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by emailing us at [email protected]. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you non-promotional messages related to your account or purchases, such as receipts or important service notices.

4. Payments

Purchases on the Site are processed through our course platform's checkout using Thinkific Payments, which is powered by Stripe. You may also see Stripe's "Link" one-click checkout option, which can securely save and autofill your payment details with Stripe for future purchases.

When you pay, you enter your card details directly into the checkout and the payment is handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Stripe processes and stores your payment information in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction information is used and retained as needed to complete your purchase, provide receipts, handle refunds, and meet our record-keeping and tax obligations.

You can review Stripe's privacy practices at https://stripe.com/privacy.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site and course platform use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help the Site function and remember information about your visit. We use them to:

We may also use analytics and advertising or measurement tools in the future — for example, to understand where our visitors come from or to measure the performance of links and ads we place on other platforms. If we add tools that involve advertising-related tracking, we will update this policy to reflect them.

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the Site may not function properly without certain cookies. Because there is no industry-standard response to "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not currently respond to them.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

Service providers. We share information with companies that help us operate the Service and that are authorized to use it only to provide services to us. These include our course platform and website host (Thinkific) and our payment processor (Stripe).

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.

Business transfers. If our business or its assets are acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction so that the Service can continue. We will require that your information remain protected under a policy consistent with this one.

7. Third-Party Platforms and Links

We also offer some products, such as printable worksheets, on third-party marketplaces like Etsy and Teachers Pay Teachers. Purchases you make on those platforms are governed by the privacy policies of those platforms, not this one.

Our Site may contain links to other websites and platforms, such as social media, YouTube, or our newsletter. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Once you leave our Site, this policy no longer applies.

8. Children's Privacy

Our courses are designed to teach personal finance to children and teens, but the Service is intended to be purchased and managed by adults — parents, guardians, and educators. The Site and account registration are directed to these adults, not to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Children are not permitted to create their own accounts. Our courses are intended to be accessed by a child under the supervision of, and through the account of, a parent, guardian, or teacher, so any course activity (such as quiz responses) is associated with that adult's account rather than collected directly from the child.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete that information.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions and follow generally accepted industry practices to help protect your information from being lost, misused, accessed without authorization, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Connections to our checkout are encrypted, and payment information is encrypted and handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS. However, no method of transmitting or storing information over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward for as long as necessary to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request that we delete your information as described in Section 11.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to it, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of marketing communications. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.

To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

California residents: We do not sell your personal information, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. You may request access to or deletion of your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

12. Eligibility

The Service is intended for adults. By creating an account or making a purchase, you represent that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state of residence) and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you allow a minor in your household to use the Service, you do so under your own account and supervision, and you are responsible for their use.

13. International Visitors

The Service is operated in the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page, and changes take effect when posted. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as by posting a notice on the Site. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
